Well, yesterday was the big day; Nina's Baby Shower! Below is a picture of the cake Jean made. For those of you who were at our wedding Jean made our wedding cake also. It was not only awesome looking but it tasted great. Those of you who know me, know I don't like desert but I ate two pieces! Here is a picture of the cake; Awesome job Jean, we really appreciate your hard work!
Nina would also like to thank everyone who attended and made her day special and for the wonderful gifts (your thank you cards are on their way). I was grateful that Sean, the husband of one of Nina's long time friends, was able to come down. We went hiking in Saguaro National Park and did some climbing/hiking and photography. It was a great day for all of us.
Today was an expensive day for us. We had to buy a new garage door; it broke a while ago but my band-aid fixes are not working as well as they used to. Luckily for us, Lowes had a 20% off sale so that saved us, I just wish Jimmy Johnson didn't drive a chevy (it's a NASCAR thing).
In addition to the garage door, we also took some of the gift cards we received and bought Rebekah's stroller/car seat. We also had a 15% off coupon so that helped. Here are some pictures Nina took of it.
As for Rebekah, she is doing well and is VERY active. We can both feel her move and kick. She is either going to be a kick-boxer or a dancer. Either one is fine with me as long as she likes football like her daddy. I am so grateful Football season is beginning and that Rebekah, can hear the games (her ears have developed by now) so she will be familiar with the game when she is born. Her Miami and Pittsburgh blankets are all ready for her!
